College Accounting Students Deliver Holiday Donations

The Central Lakes College Accounting Club in Brainerd, Minn., did a good deed this holiday season, delivering donated goods they collected all semester to two local charities.
The 27-member group, made up of first- and second-year college students, brought the donations to the New Pathways Family Day Center and the Women’s Center of Mid-Minnesota. They had collected goods such as toys, clothing and gift certificates throughout the semester by leaving donation boxes around the campus, according to the Northland Press.

On Dec. 17, they brought a dozen boxes filled with winter clothes, games, dolls, stuffed animals and infant car seats to the two local family shelters. The students at Central Lakes are apparently learning a lot of important lessons besides adding up the balance sheet. They’re to be commended.
