New Mexico State University reveals $15K accounting scholarship

New Mexico State University (NMSU) revealed a $15K accounting scholarship courtesy of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA), according to a recent online statement from the school.

The grant, formally called the "CliftonLarsonAllen LLP Diversity in Accounting Scholarship," will be rewarded to a undergraduate or graduate NMSU College of Business accounting major with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. As the scholarship name suggests, minority students will be given preference to increase diversity in the school.

“CliftonLarsonAllen’s generous gift in support of scholarships for accounting students demonstrates their commitment to the success of our students and NMSU’s accounting program,” said NMSU Accounting Department Head Kevin Melendez. “CLA is a consistent and valued recruiter of our students, and we appreciate their support.”

Ortiz went on to say that that the firm is committed to the continued support of the success of accounting students in the program.
