The American Institute of CPAs is offering a new, free newsletter called Inclusion Solutions, according to a message from AICPA president and CEO Barry Melancon.

Exploring diversity and inclusion initiatives and best practices in the business community and accounting profession, the newsletter's first issue was distributed Wednesday.

While more than one-third of the U.S. population belongs to a minority group, only 10 percent identify as such in the accounting profession, Melancon highlighted in his introduction.

“We need to get in front of this demographic shift,” Melancon stated. “It is the only way we'll be able to create the opportunities that attract the best and brightest graduates from the largest talent pool to accounting careers.”

Inclusion Solutions is one of the tools and resources the AICPA is committed to adding, along with programs for the student pipeline, to help the profession integrate diversity and inclusion, he continued.

The newsletter is a complimentary benefit designed to be a quick read that will have three introductory issues with the option of subscribing. Sign up is available here

More worthless poop from the worthless AICPA! There is ample inclusion already, & I certainly do not need some disconnected organization that stopped representing my professional interests about 30 years ago. Barry, how about doing some inclusiveness w/ accounting standards and get off the IFRS crap-laden band wagon!
