For a second year, New England accounting and consulting firm BlumShapiro collected and distributed food to provide Thanksgiving meals for more than 2,000 families and seniors in New Haven, Conn.
The firm’s Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community in Action included a two-month collection effort and a bagging weekend when BlumShapiro employees, their families and others prepared bags of food at the Casa Community Center.
More than 40 New Haven-area businesses, churches, schools and other organizations participated in the community-wide effort.
