CCH donates video equipment to middle school

CCH Small Firm Services celebrated Earth Day by donating professional recording and studio equipment to local Pine Mountain Middle School in Kennesaw, Ga.

SFS Vice President Jairam Padmanabhan presented the donation to school Principal Lisa Jackson, Kennesaw Mayor Mark Matthews and school parent Devan Seabaugh.

“We recently upgraded our technology and are excited that our used equipment will have a second home helping educate future generations,” Padmanabhan said in a statement.

Students at Pine Mountain Middle School, a technology and math magnet school, currently use small, handheld video cameras and tripods to record their morning announcements, Pledge of Allegiance and moment of silence.

“Learning on professional equipment brings so many advantages; these kids are going to love it,” said Ben Cleary, SFS audio visual production manager, who previously used the equipment to produce the company’s web-based TV shows.

“We’re trying to move our current video production into a new light by updating our technology,” Jackson said in a statement. “Having professional recording equipment is a very big deal for us!”
