Southern California accounting firm HMWC CPAs & Business Advisors donated to six local nonprofits this holiday season.
The organizations receiving the charitable donations were:
The Blind Children’s Learning Center, which has a comprehensive alternative program for blind children, and is the only one in the region addressing the needs of the blind, visually impaired, and children with multiple disabilities from birth through high school.
The Boys and Girls Club of Tustin, a youth development center for the social and educational growth, health and character development for local youth.
Family Promise of Orange County, an interfaith hospitality network of congregations providing emergency shelter, hospitality and services to homeless families, with the goal to place every family in a home of their own in about two months.
The Orange County Rescue Mission, which has a mission to “minister the love of Jesus Christ to the least, the last, and the lost of our Community through the provision of assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care and independent living communities.”
Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, working to eliminate hunger in the county through soliciting and coordinating donations, grants, fundraising, food drives, food rescue, harvesting and volunteers to supply food, education and advocacy for the hungry through nonprofit partners and direct feeding programs.
Olive Crest, which has provided everything from safe homes, counseling and education for both youth and parents, including more than 60,000 abused, neglected and at-risk children and their families.
