College Choice ranks 2016's most affordable online bachelor's and master's accounting degrees

College Choice, an online resource ranking various college programs and institutions, recently unveiled their 2016 rankings for the most affordable online bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting. Fort Hayes State University in Kansas took top honors for online bachelor's degrees, while Western Governors University in Utah was first amongst master's programs.

As College Choice points out, the median salary for an accountant in 2015 was $67,190, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. "What makes that salary go even further is earning your accounting credentials in the most affordable and convenient way - getting your accounting degree online," the publication writes. "We’ve done the hard work of crunching the numbers for you, and these online accounting degrees offer the surest way to get you into the accounting job you desire while eating the fewest costs."

Fort Hays State University currently offers a 124-credit hour online Bachelor in Business Administration, which ranked as the "most affordable undergraduate accounting degree College Choice" found. Western Governors University offers a 30-unit Master’s of Science in Accounting degree, offering courses such as "Fraud and Forensic Accounting," "Strategic Management," and "Government and Non-Profit Accounting."
