As the NCAA Division I men’s and women' basketball tournament finished up last week, so too did the 2nd annual Uniform CPA Exam Bracketology, released by the National Association of the State Boards of Accountancy (
For the second year, NASBA examined how students from participating schools in the NCAA tournaments perform on the CPA Examination. Starting with the same 64 NCAA teams, NASBA brackets differ by schools advancing solely on their first-time CPA Exam pass rate for the 2015 calendar year.
For the men’s bracket, the University of Wisconsin is a repeat winner. The university’s CPA Exam candidates had an 84.5% pass rate with more than 175 candidates sitting for the Exam.
The women’s bracket was won by the University of Pennsylvania, who also recorded the highest CPA Exam pass rate in the nation with 90.6%.
