PKF Texas Director Karen Love is a Woman on the Move

Karen Love, director of practice growth for Houston CPA firm Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, was named one of 10 Women on the Move by professional organization Texas Executive Women.

“We are very proud of Karen and all that she has accomplished both personally and professionally,” said PKF Texas President Kenneth Guidry in a statement. “This is a fitting honor for a woman who is truly on the move, making a difference in the lives of those at PKF Texas, and the Houston business community. I’m pleased she has been recognized and honored in this way.”

During her 16 years in the profession, Love was honored as one of Accounting Today’s 100 Most Influential People, a Marketer of the Year by the Association of Accounting Marketing and inducted into the AAM Hall of Fame in 2009. A member of various advisory boards and boards of directors, Love was also recently recognized by Houston Woman Magazine as one of the city’s 50 Most Influential Women.

Love and her nine fellow 2011 Women on the Move honorees will be toasted at a Nov. 3 luncheon at the InterContinental Hotel, with proceeds benefiting the Texas Executive Women’s scholarship and mentoring programs. The awards program has honored 270 women and helped fund almost a quarter million dollars in scholarships since it began in 1985.

“These women, who were chosen for their civic as well as professional achievements, all expressed great commitment to working with our in-school mentoring programs,” said Jackalyn Rainosek, president-elect of Texas Executive Women, in a statement. ”This is an excellent class of exceptional women.”
