Rachael Ray Show surprises accountants with tax season makeovers

Four female accountants at WithumSmith+Brown got a tax season surprise when Rachael Ray Show cameras ambushed their New Brunswick, N.J., office for a special makeover segment that aired last week.

After reaching out to the firm, producers and staff secretly converted conference rooms into salons before celebrity stylists transformed the women’s hair, makeup and clothes.

The women caught off guard were CPAs Nina Chmura, Maureen DeCicco, Jeannette Emmons and Laura Whitman.

"What an experience," Chmura said in a statement. "The night before, I had only two hours sleep with my 10-month-old son… and it's tax season! A day of pampering was such a treat."

“We were certainly thrilled when approached by the Rachael Ray Show," said Bill Hagaman, managing partner and CEO of WithumSmith+Brown. "All four of these ladies do a tremendous job balancing family and client responsibilities. They truly deserved to be a part of this."

Also part of the process was the rest of the staff, who were invited to the lobby to witness the individual makeover reveals.

But after the camera crew left, it was back to reality, said Chmura.

The April 8 segment, which featured three of the four makeovers, can be viewed at RachaelRayShow.com.

The fourth makeover is available as an online exclusive.
