U. of Miami School of Business debuts online M.S. in Finance program

Joining theranks of top-tier collegesand universities to offer fully digital master's programs, the University of Miami School of Business has recently announced the launch of its onlineMaster of Science in Finance degree, set to debut January 2015.

The program will be taught by the same faculty in the School of Business's on-campus program, with an estimated course length of 16 months.

Two tracks of study will also be available: corporate finance and financial decision. The former will foster skills needed for such functions as the controller’s office, treasury management, capital budgeting, and investor relations, while the latter path is designed for careers in a corporate environment, focusing on mutual funds, hedge funds, and pension funds. 

“The online Master of Science in Finance program is an example of how the University of Miami School of Business is innovating in response to the changing needs of the business community,” said Gene Anderson, dean of the School of Business Administration, in a statement. “The program is designed to address the growing demand for master’s-level finance education that is flexible, personalized, and supportive.”

The School also offers an executive MBA program,The Miami Executive MBA for the Americas, which mixes both on-campus and online learning.
