CohnReznick Hosts Golf Outing for Female Execs

Accounting, tax and advisory firm CohnReznick recently hosted about 100 women executives to get them more accustomed to a common way to do business among generations of male executives.

CohnReznick’s Executive Women’s Forum golf event at the Jumping Brook Golf Club in Neptune, NJ on July 28 was the firm’s largest turnout to date in the six years of the annual event.

“Because so much business in professional services takes place on the golf course, our goal is to get more women exposed to golf so that they can reap the business benefits of the game in a comfortable environment,” said Tracy Fink, director of the forum, in a statement. “It was also great to see a generational span that clearly showed that women of all ages are interested in golf.”

The forum creates opportunities to build relationships among executive women both inside and outside CohnReznick to foster business opportunities.

The firm offered the women executives networking opportunities, lunch, a choice of a hands-on clinic or nine-hole game, followed by a cocktail reception. During the luncheon, attendees were treated to a presentation on tips for playing golf by Maria Aprile, a CohnReznick partner, avid golfer, and past president of the Executive Women’s Golf Association in the Northern New Jersey Chapter.

“The EWF golf outing has become one of the premier business development/social events for our region,” said Rose Ann Slawson, managing partner of CohnReznick’s Eatontown, NJ office. “We could not have been happier with the turnout and the positive feedback we received from our attendees.”
