On the move: RKL installs new CEO

Mike De Stefano has taken the helm at RKL; The Bonadio Group named Cailee Medina its new chief human resources officer; Rea appointed Tory Spadafora its first-ever chief growth officer; and other firm and personnel news from across the profession.

Locklear, based in Fort Smith, specializes in business taxation. And Milligan, based in Conway, joined Landmark in 2013 and focuses on audit and assurance services.

Sakshi Ghai has been named leader of the U.S. energy and infrastructure finance practice of Forvis Mazars. She has more than 13 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including overseeing the model due diligence for the financial close of the development of the New Terminal One at New York's JFK Airport.

Cailee Medina has been promoted to chief human resources officer at The Bonadio Group, Rochester. She has been with The Bonadio Group for nearly a decade, most recently serving as vice president of HR. 

Grassi & Co. has added two new partners: Tiffany Roque and Angela Ferrantelli. Roque is also international tax leader, and Ferrantelli is a trust and estate partner.

Robert Weaver has joined CohnReznick as a transaction advisory services partner in the New York City office. He brings more than 25 years of extensive accounting and finance experience, including over two decades dedicated to mergers and acquisitions.

Berry Wammes has been named chair of the Professional Accountancy Organization Development Advisory Group of the International Federation of Accountants.

Mike De Stefano
Mike De Stefano has officially assumed the role of chief executive officer at RKL, as part of a planned leadership transition. He succeeds Ed Monborne, who has been CEO for 15 years and will retire in December. De Stefano began his career in public accounting at RKL, serving in the firm's Tax and Audit Services Groups for 14 years; he returned to the firm in 2019 as chief financial officer and became chief operating officer in 2022. Separately, David Morais succeeded Laurie Peer as president of RKL Private Wealth, and Tom Reardon became executive vice president.
