Prager Metis creates new staffing company; Armanino schedules four community service vacations for employees; and more news from CPA offices across the country.
CALIFORNIA
Armanino, San Ramon, announced a commitment to four community service volunteer vacations in 2018. Beginning this summer, the Armanino Foundation is sponsoring four volunteer vacations where staff and partners use their personal vacation time to travel around the country or abroad, donating their time to worthy projects. The vacations include: Habitat for Humanity home-building in Guatemala City, Guatemala; beach conservation in Maui, Hawaii; various volunteer activities at Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit resort for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families in Kissimmee, Fla.; and Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery home-building in Houston.

Brown Smith Wallace, St. Louis, was honored by the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis as a top Women in the Workplace employer, based on a 41-question survey in six categories the firm completed last fall.
Anders CPAs + Advisors, St. Louis, was also named one of the top firms for Women in the Workplace by the Women's Foundation of Greater St. Louis.
UHY, St. Louis, had signed a three-year agreement with the American Junior Golf Association to serve as the title sponsor of the UHY LLP CPA’s Junior Championship, scheduled to take place July 16-19 at The Legends Country Club in Eureka, Mo.

This is the fifth straight year the firm was named to the list, which is selected by judges assessing a variety of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, development programs, and how closely programs relate to business goals and objectives.
