Armanino, San Ramon, announced the formation of a charitable giving arm, the Armanino Foundation, created to empower its staff to impact community-based charities by matching each staff contribution two-to-one. In its first round of funding, the firm awarded $20,000 in grants to seven organizations in its communities.

FLORIDA

Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, Tampa, announced that Reingruber & Co., of St. Petersburg and with an affiliate in Nashville, Tenn., has merged with the firm. Claudia Reingruber joins the firm’s office as a shareholder, along with her team of health care consultants.

INDIANA

The Indiana CPA Society, Indianapolis, conducted a poll that found that a majority of nearly 50 CPAs who serve as chief financial officers for their businesses were either moderately or very optimistic about the prospects for economic growth over the next six to 12 months.

Plante Moran entered into a multiyear partnership with the Detroit Lions that gives the firm exclusive naming rights to the terrace suites being built as part of the New Ford Field renovation project, and names the firm as the official tax, audit, consulting and public accounting firm of the Detroit Lions.

TENNESSEE

The NASBA Center for the Public Trust, Nashville, is revisiting its Being a Difference Award program by creating the “Bill Daniels Being a Difference” award program, sponsored by the Daniels Fund and recognizing leaders who establish a reputation for “being a difference,” by leading their businesses and communities. The CPT will annually award up to four individuals with the award, which is awarded based on the eight ethical business principles the late entrepreneur Bill Daniels used as guidance. The CPT encourages candidate nominations by June 15, 2017, to be considered for the next class of honorees, by visiting thecpt.org/awards.

VIRGINIA

Wall Einhorn & Chernitzer hosted its first WEC Spirit Week over busy season, kicking it off on a Saturday with Pajama Day, followed by a “punny” goody bag on Monday and “Pi Day” pizzas and pies on Tuesday, March 14.
