Bill.com Goes Mobile

Cloud-based bill payment service Bill.com has officially released Bill.com Mobile, allowing users of any smart phone or Web-connected mobile device to review and approve bills, schedule payments from an authorized bank account, and access all their Bill.com accounts from a single dashboard.

Bill.com Mobile is included as part of the Business Bill Payment service at $19.99/month and the Business Bill Payment and Online Invoicing service at $24.99/month.

As with most mobile versions of Software as a Service or on-premise products, Bill.com Mobile is not currently available to do everything the full product can do, but there are plans to build on it from its current offering, according to Bill.com president and founder Rene Lacerte.

“On any mobile application today, you want access to very specific things, and we now provide you with access to what you need to see [from Bill.com],” said Lacerte. “Right now it’s about approving and paying bills [on your mobile device]. It will likely be more over the course of the year and beyond. This [offering] is great because we give you access to see the source documents. With most other such applications, you don’t actually see the bill, and having that data referenced is what’s important.”

Bill.com is offered to the accounting profession exclusively though the Bill.com Accountant Program from CPA2Biz, the products and services marketing arm of the American Institute of CPAs. For more information, click here.
