Accounting software developer Coda Financials has changed its name to Unit4 Coda Inc.

The change accompanies the rebranding of Coda’s parent, global business software company Unit 4 Agresso NV, which has changed its brand name to Unit4. The new name, Unit4 Coda, is intended to reflect the company’s new proposition of “embracing change.”

The company also recently renamed its Coda2Go Web-based accounting software as FinancialForce.com to emphasize its use of technology from Salesforce.com. FinancialForce.com is operating as a separate unit now from Unit 4 Coda, which specializes in software that runs on a company’s own servers, as opposed to the cloud computing model embraced by FinancialForce.com.

Unit4 Coda’s software will continue to be called Coda Financials. It includes accounting, procurement, reporting and analysis features.
