Sadler Gibb, a Draper, Utah-based accounting firm, acquired Assure CPA in Spokane, Washington, effective as of May 14.
The deal expands Sadler Gibb's footprint into the Pacific Northwest and adds public-company audit capabilities to its practice. Assure adds six team employees to the Sadler Gibb team. The combined firm will operate from offices in Draper and Spokane.
"Assure has built one of the strongest public-company niche audit practices in the Pacific Northwest, with rare technical depth in mining, natural resources and manufacturing," Mark Elwood, managing partner at Sadler Gibb, said in a statement. "Bringing their team into Sadler Gibb extends our regional footprint and meaningfully strengthens the technical bench we can put behind growth and serving clients across the West."
Assure CPA, founded in 2020, offers audit and assurance, SEC reporting, SOX 404 internal audit, tax and advisory services, with industry specializations in mining, natural resources and manufacturing. Its founding partner and managing director, Jeff Maichel, will retire in connection with the transaction.
