FinancialForce and Scribe Link Legacy ERP and Cloud Billing

Cloud accounting and financial technology provider FinancialForce.com has teamed up with customer relationship management data integration provider Scribe to connect FinancialForce.com’s billing application with legacy, on-premises-based enterprise resource planning systems.

The new connector will allow companies to transition applications such as billing into the cloud, while coexisting with a legacy ERP system. The first integration focuses on Microsoft Dynamics, with integrations to SAP, Oracle and other systems to follow.

Using Scribe’s Force.com connector, companies can pass accounting data from FinancialForce billing in the form of invoices to Microsoft Dynamics. The integration generates transactions for posting to Dynamics A/R and general ledger, while in return the connector passes back outstanding balances and the account’s payment status.

In addition, the integration synchronizes Force.com customer account objects with Dynamics customer account records, ensuring that CRM, billing and accounts receivable are coordinated.

“There are a large number of organizations using legacy ERP systems that want to generate invoices directly from Salesforce CRM and post them back to their on-premises ERP packages,” said FinancialForce.com vice president of product marketing Tom Brennan. “Scribe’s Force.com connector is a strong solution for integrating on-premise-based ERP systems with the world’s most popular cloud platform. When you combine FinancialForce Billing with Scribe’s connector, companies can streamline their billing processes, improve cash flow and greatly simplify the integration.”
