Financial software provider BlackLine Systems, Los Angeles, was ranked No. 111 on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. The 2011 rankings are based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2006 to 2010; BlackLine grew nearly 1,000 percent during this period.

 

ILLINOIS

Thirty-four of the offices of BDO USA LLP received 2011 Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility, which recognize companies that use flexibility as part of a workplace strategy to achieve business goals and benefit employees. This is the third consecutive year that more than 30 of BDO's offices have received the award.

The global Ernst & Young organization was named a Vanguard Finance Management Consulting Practice in Kennedy Consulting Research & Advisory's Finance Management Consulting Marketplace 2011-2014 report.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration has moved to a new, smaller office 1401 H Street NW, Suite 469. The decline in space is in part due to the organization's commitment to telecommuting.
