Kevin McGrath has been selected to succeed Frank Arford as CEO of global accounting network Crowe Horwath International. Arford will be retiring at the end of June, and McGrath is due to take up his new post on July 1.

Kevin McGrath

McGrath is currently COO of Crowe Horwath LLP, the lead U.S. firm of Crowe Horwath International, and one of the 10 largest firms in the country. He has been with Crowe Horwath for 35 years, and as COO he has overseen the firm's brand awareness strategy, as well as leading the firm's specialized industry services, new product development and market-facing activities. He has also participated in the development of the current strategy for Crowe Horwath International, and recently has been active in the pursuit of new member firms.

"Kevin's strong background, experience and leadership skills make him an excellent choice to assume the leadership role from Frank. We are delighted to have him lead the execution of our strategy going forward," said Mark Hildebrand, chairman of the board of directors of Crowe Horwath International, in a statement.

Said McGrath, "I am honored and excited to take this new position. Under Frank's leadership, Crowe Horwath International has achieved a single global brand with a defined strategy. I look forward to furthering his efforts to distinguish Crowe Horwath International among the global networks."

Frank Arford

Arford will retire after five years as CEO of Crowe Horwath International, and more than 40 years in accounting. Since taking the helm at the network in 2007, he has expanded its presence to 109 countries, from 88.

"Frank has done a wonderful job building Crowe Horwath International's brand and preparing our network to compete for upmarket international business," said Hildebrand.
