ALABAMA

Bryan Chandler of JamisonMoneyFarmer PC has been elected to serve as vice chairman and chairman elect to CPAmerica International’s board of directors.

CALIFORNIA

Greg Regan, an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University’s School of Accounting, was named Forensic Services Volunteer of the Year by the AICPA.

GEORGIA

Luis Reyes has joined Hancock Askew & Co. LLP, Norcross, as a senior manager in the firm’s audit department. Kristi Lowenthal joined the firm as an administrator in the firm’s Savannah office. 

ILLINOIS

David McWilliams was promoted to manager of tax services at Weltman Bernfield LLC, Buffalo Grove. David Nissen, leading partner of Mueller & Co. LLP in St. Charles, Ill., is the new chair of the board of CPAmerica International’s board of directors. Nissen succeeds 2012 chair, Scott Wallace managing director of Wallace, Plese + Dreher LLP. … E. Michael Ward has joined the Business Advisory Services of Grant Thornton LLP, Chicago, as national managing principal.

MICHIGAN

Mandy Chardoul, an estate planning specialist with Plante Moran PLLC, has been asked to join the professional advisory committee of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation.

MISSOURI

Jerry Henderson was promoted to national industry partner and will lead the Manufacturing & Distribution Group at BKD LLP, Springfield. Henderson succeeds Ed Crumm, who passed away in June. … Eileen Monesson, a principal at PRCounts LLC, has joined the online community faculty of iShade, St. Louis.

NEW YORK

The Bonadio Group has made several new hires throughout the firm. In the firm’s Syracuse office, Kaitlyn Astafan was hired as an assistant and will work on the firm’s Commercial Team. Prior to joining Bonadio, Astafan worked as an accounting intern with Carthage Area Hospital.  Amanda Daum was hired as an assistant and will work of the firm’s Health Care/Tax-Exempt Central Team. Daum was previously an intern at Bonadio. Kyle Lyskawa was also hired as an assistant in the firm’s Health Care/Tax-Exempt Central Team. In the firm’s Buffalo office Andrew Norris has been hired as an assistant for the Commercial. Norris initially joined the firm in January 2012, as an intern. Evan Wopperer was also hired as an assistant and will work on the Commercial Team. Prior to joining Bonadio, Wopperer worked as an Accounting Assistant with Paul Voytovich. The Rochester office picked up Amanda Brower as an assistant for the Commercial Team. Brower’s previous experience includes positions at Northwestern Mutual, Kraftees Collegetown Bookstore and Hollink Motorsports. Benjamin Thomas was also hired as an assistant for the Commercial Team. Adam Altimonda was hired as an assistant for the Government, Compliance and Labor Team and he previously worked as an intern at the firm. And in Albany, the firm hired Amber Gardner as an assistant for the Commercial Team. Amanda Lesniewski was hired as an assistant for the firm’s Government, Compliance and Labor team. Lesniewski previously interned at the firm as well as the New York State Division of Criminal Justice. The firm also added Brittany Trela as an assistant for its Health Care/Tax-Exempt East team.  Prior to Bonadio, Trela worked as an accounting intern for the New York Business Development Corporation. …KPMG LLP appointed Harry Moseley to serve as chief information officer. Moseley succeeds Richard Anderson who retired. … Jonathan Kletzel was appointed to lead the Transportation & Logistics Practice at PwC U.S., New York. … Charles Anastasia has joined CohnReznick LLP as a partner in the firm’s New York office. … Victoria L. Pitkin has joined Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Company LLP, New York, as a principal in the firm’s quality control department. … John Veihmeyer, chairman and CEO of KPMG LLP, New York, has been named to the Board of Advisors for Catalyst, a nonprofit membership organization that works to expand opportunities for women in business.

NORTH CAROLINA

Jeff Hwang, a financial advisor at DMJ Wealth Advisors LLC, was promoted to manager at the firm. Kim Scott, an investment advisor representative at the firm, has been authorized by the CFP Board to use the certification marks CFP in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements.

OHIO

SS&G Inc. hired Olivia Cunningham as a field exam manager where she will work in the firm’s Cleveland office. Cunningham previously worked as a senior filed examiner at FirstMerit Bank.

PENNSYLVANIA

Kevin Stouffer, of Smith Elliott Kearns & Company LLC, completed the requirements to be licensed as a CPA through the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy. … Kris Keller has joined Herbein + Company Inc., Pittsburg, as a senior accountant. … Melissa Boyce was promoted to managing associate at Drucker & Scaccetti, Philadelphia. … Jill Martin has been named partner in the tax services group at ParenteBeard LLC, Philadelphia.

TENNESSEE

Jonathan Uttz has joined Kraft Health Care Consulting LLC, Nashville, as a manager on its advisory services team. Prior to Kraft Health Care, Uttz was a CFO of Universal Health Services’ River Crest Hospital in San Angelo, Texas.

WASHINGTON D.C.

Michael Moran has joined SS&G Health Care. Moran is president and founder of Viable Healthcare Solutions, which is now a part of SS&G Health Care. Moran will represent SS&G Health Care in the Washington, D.C. office, which will provide support to clients in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
