Sage Loses Partner Sales VP Van Dooren

Sage North America vice president of partner sales Pascal Van Dooren is departing the company on Oct. 4, the latest in a string of high-level executive exits at the software company.

The news was announced in a letter Thursday to Sage North America Partners by the president and chief executive Pascal Houillon.

The message noted that Van Dooren “decided to leave Sage to pursue another opportunity within our Sage Partner ecosystem.” Further details were not revealed, but sources indicated he will be working for online sales tax automation service provider Avalara.

“In just under four years, Pascal has made a positive impact within our sales and partner organizations, serving in the role of vice president-partner sales,” Houillon said in the letter. “We thank Pascal for his many contributions and wish him the very best…I expect that a replacement for Pascal will be named in the near future. In the meantime, Tom Miller, vice president-channel management, will serve as the interim leader for this role.”

Van Dooren joins a long line of executive departures over the past year at Sage, including the company’s former chief executive Susan Swenson.
