SurePayroll Provides Info on Paying Nanny Taxes in 2014

Payroll service provider SurePayroll is highlighting the importance of paying nanny taxes next year.

At this time of year, the company pointed out, many parents realize they cannot do all the work of preparing for the holidays and need to turn to a nanny for help with their young children. Plus, many others who already have a nanny are scrambling to get all the tax paperwork in order before the end of the year.  SurePayroll has created an infographic with advice on dealing with nanny taxes.

"There is so much involved in finding the right nanny to care for their children that parents don't even think about the tax considerations," said SurePayroll CEO and president Michael Alter in a statement. "But when it comes to nanny taxes -- parents shouldn't just 'roll the dice.' Now is the time to really understand the nanny tax and make sure the nanny gets paid the right way. Our 'Don't be Sorry' infographic is a quick fun way for parents to understand how to avoid fines, penalties and even more stress! The good news is that there are services that can make it really easy, convenient and stress free for parents and their nannies."

The infographic includes facts and figures about nanny taxes, the pay threshold, IRS forms, fines, back taxes, Social Security and Medicare.
