Thomson Reuters Offers Checkpoint Learning CPE Courses on iPad

Thomson Reuters has introduced Checkpoint Learning CPE courses for the Apple iPad.

Users can now browse and purchase Checkpoint Learning CPE courses from their tablets, as well as complete and submit their coursework, allowing accounting and tax professionals to go through their training while traveling, waiting in line, or whenever they have time and an Internet connection.

“Mobile learning is one of the emerging trends in professional education,” said Ken Koskay, senior vice president of learning solutions for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters, in a statement. “And with tablet use on the rise, particularly for businesses, Checkpoint Learning courses for the iPad will enable our customers to complete training anytime, anywhere. The learning curve to figure out navigation on the iPad is minimal. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use.”

Checkpoint Learning courses are also accessible from laptop and desktop computers. Users can start a course on one device and complete it on another.

Forty Checkpoint Learning CPE courses are currently available for the iPad, with more titles scheduled for release later this year.
