Value Drivers, Chicago, has formed a strategic alliance with Whitman Business Advisors to combine the former’s expertise at understanding client loyalty with the latter’s suite of value-added services.

KENTUCKY

TrinSoft, Lexington, has been named a Microsoft Dynamics ERP Gold Competency Partner.

 

MASSACHUSETTS

The Massachusetts Society of CPAs a series of events on recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce in the accounting field. (See the story.) 

MISSOURI

As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, KPM CPAs & Advisors, Springfield, launched a new Web site.
MarksNelson, Kansas City, held its annual Volunteer Day, with more than 130 staff members taking time to work with eight Kansas City nonprofit organizations.

 

NEW JERSEY

WithumSmith+Brown PC is expanding and relocating its Princeton headquarters to 30,000 square feet at the Carnegie Center on Route 1. Separately, the firm has become a NetSuite Solution Provider. (See the story.) 

 

NEW YORK

Marks Paneth LLP inaugurated its new Westchester County office on June 9 with an open house and ceremonial ribbon-cutting led by Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino, who also proclaimed June 9 as Marks Paneth Recognition Day. It now has 20,000 square feet at 4 Manhattanville Road in Purchase.

NORTH DAKOTA

Eide Bailly, Fargo, is accepting submissions for its fourth annual Resourcefullness Awards, which recognize outstanding nonprofit revenue generation initiatives with awards of up to $10,000 in four states – Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, and Utah. Award recipients will be announced on October 5.

OHIO

Ryan has been named one of the 2016 Best Employers in Ohio by the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management State Council and the Best Companies Group for the sixth consecutive year. The firm moved up from No. 19 in the Large Company category last year to No. 6 this year.

 

VIRGINIA

The Virginia Society of CPAs Political Action Committee announced its officers and Board of Trustees for 2016–2017: Larry Hurt will serve as chair; Roy Emmons as vice-chair; and VSCPA president Stephanie Peters as secretary/treasurer. Board members include: Charles Bish, Bradford Jones, Gregory McChesney, Thomas Sinsabaugh, Barbara Smith, Gary Thomson, James Walker and Hal Young.
