Kabat Schertzer Merges in Roth Jonas

Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos and Company, a Miami-based accounting and tax advisory firm, has merged in Roth, Jonas and Mittelberg, a nearly 50-year-old Miami firm.

As a result of the merger, KSDT has succeeded Roth, Jonas and Mittelberg as a registrant with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, enabling the firm to prepare, issue and participate in audit reports of broker-dealers.

“We welcome this merger with one of South Florida’s oldest CPA firms and the ability to expand our breadth of services to the broker-dealer market,” said KSDT managing partner Jeffrey Taraboulos in a statement.

Roth, Jonas and Mittelberg’s staff of nine, including four CPAs, have become KSDT employees and will work out of KSDT’s three South Florida offices. Rickey Mittelberg, Robert Roth and Peter Jonas have been named partners.

“Merging with KSDT allows us to continue our firm’s long history and provide our clients with a broader range of complementary services and the benefit of the most advanced technological resources,” said Mittelberg.
