Morison Merges with KSi to Form $1 Billion International Firm Association

Morison International and KS International have merged to form a $1 billion international association of accounting and professional services firms to be known as Morison KSi.

Morison KSi will include 1,201 partners, 8,990 professional staff, and 375 offices in 88 countries. The merger will take effect April 1, 2016.

Morison is a global association of independent accountants, auditors, tax advisers, business consultants and lawyers serving the cross-border needs of clients based in New York. It currently has 93 member firms worldwide in 66 countries.

KS International is an association of independent professional service firms around the world who provide clients with a range of accounting, consulting, legal and taxation services. It has 79 member firms in 70 countries.

Mark Levenfus, managing partner emeritus of Marks Paneth LLP in New York and chairman of Morison International, will serve as chairman of Morison KSi, while the vice chairman will be Graham Tyler, a partner at Kingston Smith LLP in London. Liza Robbins will be CEO of the combined association.

"The merger of KSi and Morison International is a very exciting development,” said Levenfus in a statement. “Together we have more resources, skills, experience, depth, breadth and reach, but most importantly the merger is built on a shared culture and commitment to working with only the highest quality firms to serve our clients’ international needs.”

The merger provides Morison International with a strong U.K. member firm and expanded representation in the U.S., along with a group of firms in Europe, Asia and Latin America. For KSi, the merger serves to accelerate the association’s growth plans.

“After overseeing 26 years of year-on-year growth and record levels of business referred around the world, this merger provides a greater footprint for KSi to pursue new opportunities, build stronger connections for clients and ultimately enhance our service offerings,” said KSi chairman Sir Michael Snyder.
