iShade Makes Changes for New Year

Online accounting community iShade said Tuesday it is adding two new directors as it prepares for the New Year.

Rob Nance, the director of content and community, will now oversee all day-to-day operational functions, including membership and marketing. In addition to managing the community-building initiatives, Nance also curates the news on BulletIN and writes the iShade blog. His title was previously curator/chief content manager.

“Our team is focused on bringing what accounting professionals value most,” said Nance. “The future of iShade is bright, full of promise, and accountants, associations and societies will continue to find more relevancy and usefulness in what we offer as we march through 2013."

Director of technology Rob Jearls will oversee product development, including design, application programming and infrastructure. iShade recently introduced a new format for its Ask The Expert Q&A sessions, and is currently building up an Education Center, positioned as a crowdsourced solution to accounting questions. In January, the online community will roll out a brand new interface, designed to simplify and promote user engagement.

As the partnership manager, iShade veteran Lisa Benson will work closely with the management and executive teams of state societies and association groups to create vibrant online communities for their members.  Using a network of experts and a library of tools and resources, she helps membership organizations plan, implement, and build active communities.
