KPMG and Stacy Lewis donate $390K in Hurricane Harvey relief

Big Four Firm KPMG announced this week that they have joined pro golfer and brand ambassador Stacy Lewis in contributing to Hurricane Harvey relief funds, with the two donating $390,000 in all.

The donation follows Lewis' recent win at the Cambia Portland Classic, where she donated 100 percent of her tournament winnings which KPMG then matched.

"In times like this, coming together to support one another matters the most," stated KPMG U.S. Chairman and CEO Lynne Doughtie. "We are touched by the generosity displayed by Stacy, and so many across the country, to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey."

Lewis, a Houston native, said the week-long LPGA Tour tournament taught her about "being more appreciative" and that it "definitely puts things into perspective," per a statement.

KPMG also pledged to match partner and staff contributions up to $400,000 as part of their KPMG Disaster Relief Fund.

In addition to KPMG's monetary donations, the firm will also donate books and refurbishes to a local library as part of their "Family for Literacy" initiative. KPMG announced they will double their typical donation to include 10,000 to two Houston libraries in light of the hurricane's devastation.
