Citrin Cooperman Adds MGI Repetti

Citrin Cooperman has added partners and staff of MGI Repetti. The combination is scheduled to close on July 1.

Citrin Cooperman will gain 10 partners and 50 staff from the new addition. MGI Repetti's New York City office will move into Citrin Cooperman’s headquarters at 529 Fifth Avenue in New York City. In addition, Citrin Cooperman will open its sixth office by maintaining MGI Repetti’s Plainview, Long Island office.

For more than 50 years, MGI Repetti offered accounting, tax, assurance, and business and consulting services to family-owned and privately held businesses, as well as not-for-profits and individuals. Its partners and staff bring a depth of knowledge in industries that include manufacturing and distribution, financial services, shipping and freight forwarding, logistics, technology and real estate.

In addition, MGI Repetti has an international presense, attributing 40 percent of revenue to inbound work serving individuals, privately held companies and foreign banks.

John Repetti, who was CEO of MGI Repetti, will operate out of Citrin Cooperman’s New York City office and join the firm’s executive committee. His focus areas include taxation and consulting services, turnarounds, and tax strategy for high net worth individuals.
