Los Angeles-based NSBN CPAs & Advisors announced this week the results of their 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, held November 14 at the Valencia Country Club. This year's beneficiary was the Concern Foundation, who has gone on to fund over 750 cancer research scientists in the U.S. and abroad.

The 2016 tournament ultimately awarded $85,000 in research funds, to be matched by the Concern Foundation. The funds will go towards a brain tumor project at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (funded by last year's tournament) as well as research in treating cancer in adolescents and young adults via a new program dubbed AYA@USC.

“In 24 years, we have raised over $1,000,000 to benefit deserving charities in our community, which makes it personally fulfilling for myself as well as the NSBN partners and staff,” stated Steve Asher, partner at NSBN and the tournament's chairman.

Founded in 1988, the Concern Foundation, whose mission is to CONquer CanCER Now, is a grassroots nonprofit based in Los Angeles focused on advancing cancer research.
