The University of Alabama at Birmingham has produced an eye-catching new infographic outlining some of the career options available to aspiring accountants.
Among the options are tax accountants, forensic accountants, auditors, managerial accountants, financial accountants, governmental accountants and accounting information systems auditors, who are shown alongside their corresponding responsibilities and average salaries.
The university offers an online master’s degree in accounting and hopes to attract more students to the profession, where it estimates the job growth for accountants from 2010 to 2020 will be about 16 percent.
