Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris made a star out of Brian Cullinan, chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ U.S. board, during the Academy Awards on Sunday night.
Cullinan, who is also managing partner of PwC’s Southern California practice, was one of two PwC employees charged with guarding the secret results of the Academy voters. The other was Martha Ruiz, a tax partner in PwC’s entertainment, media and communications practice. However, Harris had an extra job for Cullinan during the telecast.
He was charged with vetting the “How I Met Your Mother” star’s Oscar predictions, which were kept in a separate locked suitcase under the watch of Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer from her seat at the front of the audience.
But when Cullinan appeared onstage during the traditional bit where PwC officials demonstrate that the Oscar results have been kept under lock and key, Harris pointed out that Cullinan bore a strong resemblance to another Hollywood star.
“Anyone ever tell you, you look just like Matt Damon?” he asked.
