EY reshapes U.K. management after failure of global split plans

EY is revamping two of its internal U.K. management teams, weeks after the company ditched plans to break up its audit and consulting operations globally.

EY will move British-based executive Alison Kay to a European role as part of the shake-up, according to a Sky News report, citing an internal memo.

Other changes include reducing the size of its executive committee to eight members from 13, and removing the chief operating officer position, Sky News said.

"These changes will allow more EY partners to be focused on serving our clients and stakeholders," EY said in an emailed statement. "EY's U.K. LLP Board is the ultimate governance and decision-making body for the U.K. firm and remains unchanged."
