CALIFORNIA

Haskell & White, Irvine, announced a series of branding improvements to update the firm’s look and feel and enhance the website’s functionality. The firm modernized its logo, switching colors from burgundy to a softer blue and gray, and updated the website with new features like a client access portal and in-depth recruiting platform.

BlackLine, Los Angeles, was named among the country’s Best Workplaces in Technology by Fortune magazine and consulting firm Great Place to Work, earning the No. 15 spot on the list of small and medium-sized companies in the U.S.

Hood & Strong, San Francisco, is marking its 100th anniversary and celebrating the milestone February 8 in a San Francisco-themed event with more than 200 business, community and civic leaders and other Bay Area companies who have reached their centennial.

RSM, Chicago, provided nine employees from across the nation with $10,000 each and nine paid-time-off days to fulfill their dreams through the firm’s 90-90-9: Pursue Your Passion program. The program recognizes the firm’s 90th anniversary in 2016 by encouraging employees to apply for a chance to pursue their passions with monetary support and time off from the firm. The nine employees are manager Amanda Brown in Harrisburg, Penn., senior associate Jay Brown in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, manager Sarah Greyer in Tampa, Fla., administrative assistant Patti Leonard in Greensboro, N.C., senior associate Kyle McNamara in Las Vegas, associate Danielle Montes in San Antonio, senior associate Shelley Moreno in Los Angeles, associate Hunter Pearson in Gaithersburg, Md., and associate Nathaniel Rubin in Atlanta.

LOUISIANA

Postlethwaite & Netterville unveiled a new corporate brand identity featuring a new logo, tagline and redesigned website. The logo includes a symbol combining the letters “P&N” to represent a unified whole of the firm’s staff.

Rodman CPAs, Boston and Waltham, held a winter clothing drive for children in need to support nonprofit Cradles to Crayons’ “Gear Up for Winter” program. The firm delivered more than 40 winter items to Cradles to Crayons, which provides children living in low-income and homeless situations with essential items.

MISSOURI

Anders CPAs + Advisors, St. Louis, worked with Stacy Taubman, owner of RISE Collaborative Workspace, on her pitch for the second annual St. Louis Business Journal’s Catapult Competition, which earned her $10,000 in technology services from MasterCard. Members of Andres CPAs + Advisors’s women’s initiative helped RISE with accounting, marketing and technology issues, and to set up its nonprofit arm, RISE Society, which provides scholarships to young female students. Taubman’s pitch was presented to more than 1,000 women, who awarded her the prize of technology services, at St. Louis Business Journal’s Women’s Conference on January 27.
