CALIFORNIA
Armanino, San Ramon, announced registration is open for its annual Nonprofit Symposium in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dallas, titled “The Perfect Storm.” The one-day event will focus on the convergence of regulation and recovery that nonprofits need to survive the coming year, from tax reform to natural disaster preparation. RSM, Chicago, announced a $157,100 gift from the RSM US Foundation to the University of Iowa, which will be used to establish the school’s RSM Excellence Fund, designated for a variety of initiatives in the accounting department in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa.

UHY, Niskayuna, presented The Foundation for Ellis Medicine with a $2,500 grant to support the Bringing Baby Home initiative at Ellis Medicine’s Bellevue Woman’s Center. The donation will provide for the purchase of 33 new infant car seats to be made available to new parents in great need of the equipment after giving birth.

Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, Philadelphia, was named Corporate Partner of the Year by the National Association of Black Accountants, Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Chapter. The award was presented during the 39th Annual Evening with NABA Scholarship and Awards Reception April 27 at the Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel in Maryland.
