Scott Sachs was named private equity practice leader at CohnReznick, New York.
Hofstra University announced a $5 million gift from alumnus Jeffrey Weiner, former chairman and CEO of Marcum LLP, and his wife, Tracy, establishing the Jeffrey M. Weiner Institute for Professional Services at the Frank G. Zarb School of Business. The institute will serve as a hub for innovation, industry engagement and academic thought leadership, strengthening career preparation across professional services. Marcum was acquired by CBIZ Inc. on Nov. 1, 2024. A dedication ceremony will be held March 11 at Hofstra's South Campus.
