On the move: INCPAS hosts 19th Day of Service

The Sales Tax Institute, Chicago, has opened submissions for its Sales Tax Nerd Award, which honors passion, curiosity, and dedication in the sales tax field. More information is available here. 

The Indiana CPA Society held its statewide 19th annual CPA Day of Service Sept. 8, when teams from 11 organizations completed 14 service projects in 12 Indiana communities: Carmel, Columbus, Goshen, Greensburg, Indianapolis, La Porte, Lafayette, Noblesville, Seymour, South Bend, Winona Lake and Zionsville. In other association news, INCPAS announced four collaborative year-round partnerships to help build the CPA talent pipeline through career awareness programming, CPA readiness support and a focus on advance diversity, equity and inclusion. This year's Pipeline Partners are: Premier Pipeline Partner Forvis and Alliance Pipeline Partners BGBC CPAs & Advisors, Deloitte and PwC. These partners will actively engage with INCPAS on strategic activities, including mentorship programs, educational initiatives, career awareness events and programs designed to promote DEI. 

RRBB announced three staff members were named winners of the New Jersey Society of CPAs Ovation Awards: Jacqueline Engelsman, director of marketing and business development, in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion category; Joseph Caplan, managing member at RRBB Advisors, in the Impact category; and Danielle Weiss, senior manager, in the Women to Watch category. In other firm news, Jacqueline Engelsman served on a panel at her alma mater, Rider University, for its Marketing Industry Night.

CLM Advisors moved into new offices, located at 591 Mantua Blvd., a 50,000 square-foot, multitenanted midrise building in Sewell.

​The New Jersey Society of CPAs, Roseland, published its updated Disaster Recovery Guide to assist individuals and businesses in New Jersey.
