Diane Swonk was named chief economist at KPMG, Chicago, to lead the firm’s office of the chief economist, which provides insights to clients on how the economy impacts strategy, growth and operations. Swonk most recently served as chief economist at Grant Thornton and previously advised the Council of Economic Advisers for the White House under three presidents and served two terms on the Congressional Budget Office’s panel of economic advisors.
