Karen Lake began her tenure as the 98th chair of the Florida Institute of CPAs, Orlando, on July 1. Lake is a director of tax services at Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors + CPAs, where she leads the state and local tax practice. Additionally, the FICPA Scholarship Foundation appointed Jennifer Keller, a leader in Crowe's national retail dealer services group, as its 2025-26 chair on July 1.

Plante Moran, Southfield, appointed: Bill Brickley to managing partner of the Detroit office, succeeding Eric Wydra, who is preparing for retirement in November; Matthew Kelly to leadership of the K-12 education practice, succeeding partner Jennifer Chambers, who will continue her focus serving K-12 and real estate industry clients; and Alisha Watkins to leadership of the government practice, assuming the role from Brian Camiller, who will focus on developing the firm's government accounting professionals team.

Nisivoccia, Mount Arlington, was honored at The Arc of New Jersey's Annual Awards Dinner as the recipient of the 2025 President's Award, presented each year to an organization or individual who has made a significant contribution to the mission of The Arc, an organization advocating for and serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The award recognizes Nisivoccia's ongoing partnership and advocacy in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
