Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont proclaimed Nov. 7-11, 2022 to be Accounting Opportunities Week, during which the Connecticut Society of CPAs sent CPAs and accounting professionals into classrooms across the state. 

The Financial Accounting Standards Board, Norwalk, appointed to its Small Business Advisory Committee: Jared Goodman, senior portfolio manager, Colorado Public Employees Retirement Association; and Steven Yang, fundamental analyst, Aquila Group of Funds.

As part of CPA Week, members of the Indiana CPA Society participated in 71 in-person and on-demand high school presentations the week of Nov. 7, reaching 31 high schools and nearly 1,800 high school students.

Alan Litwin will be stepping aside as managing director and CEO of KLR, Boston, which he has led since 1983, at the end of 2022, when he will continue a role with the firm. Paul Oliveira was elected as the next CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
