Sandra Burns, a partner in the real estate, hospitality and construction assurance practice at EY, Los Angeles, was named a Commercial Real Estate Visionary by the Los Angeles Times.

FLORIDA

Alpine Mar, Fort Lauderdale, introduced a new offering that includes managed IT and IT consulting services, with an external team of IT experts to help clients administer and protect their workplace productivity and collaboration suites, and consulting services focused on cybersecurity and AI consulting.

Julie Barnes was named chief of staff and Brielle Ferrante chief marketing officer at Smith + Howard, Atlanta.

Brown Plus, Frederick and Westminster, was recognized as one of The Daily Record's Best Companies to Work For in Maryland.

NEW YORK

The International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board announced new and returning members of the board. Appointed for a three-year term of service beginning Jan. 1, 2026, are: Judith Apaza, Bolivia; Dina Attia, United Arab Emirates; George Scott, United States; Alex Fabiane Teixeira, Brazil; and members reappointed are: Andrew van der Burgh, South Africa; and Nor Yati Ahmad, Malaysia.

NORTH DAKOTA

Brady Martz, Grand Forks, was selected as one of the region's 50 Best Places to Work in 2025 by Prairie Business magazine.

UNITED KINGDOM

Hans-Ulrich Engel, former vice chairman and CFO of BASF, was appointed a new trustee at the IFRS Foundation.
