Grant Thornton, Chicago, received a 100% score for the seventh consecutive year on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2023-24 Corporate Equality Index, the national benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

MARYLAND

Rosen, Sapperstein and Friedlander, Towson, was named to the Baltimore Sun's 2023 Top Workplaces. 

MICHIGAN

THE NETHERLANDS

The Global Reporting Initiative, Amsterdam, announced Jessica Fries, chief executive of Accounting for Sustainability, was appointed the new chair of the GRI supervisory board, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Fries, who first joined the board in 2019 and became vice-chair two years ago, assumed the role from Jack Ehnes, who is stepping down from the supervisory board after five years' service, including two as Ccair. Additionally, current board member Bola Adeeko was appointed the new vice-chair. 

NEVADA

Steve Chaney, owner of Chaney & Associates, was named the recipient of CPA.com's Digital CPA Innovative Practitioner Award, recognizing pioneers who demonstrate thought leadership, strategic decision-making and a commitment to drive the profession toward the future, at the Digital CPA conference in Las Vegas.

The Internal Revenue Service received the Enterprise Risk Management Luminary Award, recognizing four federal agencies for significant progress and notable achievements in the implementation and practice of ERM, from the Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management at the annual ERM Summit.
