ARIZONA

Brian Foltyn was hired as practice leader of business valuation services for the Phoenix office of REDW.

CHILE

Confirmation.com announced an expansion of its services to South America with a presence in Chile, with Tomas Trossero leading the growth initiative and joining sales team members Rafael Pires, who is responsible for continued growth in Brazil, and Felipe Lima, director of South American sales.

FLORIDA

D'Yãn Davis was promoted to director of member services and Lauren Bush was promoted to director of finance and human resources at CPAmerica International, Gainesville. Additionally, CPAmerica International will be celebrating its 40th anniversary on May 11, 2018, and plans to commemorate the milestone throughout the year, including on both the inception date and at the annual Leading Partners Retreat in September.

Andrea Holyfield was hired as a consulting manager at Warren Averett Workplace, Atlanta, the human capital consulting division of Warren Averett CPAs.

Honkamp Krueger & Co., Dubuque, announced five new partners: Ryan Burbach, in decision support services; Nicole Gantz, in marketing; Sue Lawler, in audit; Stephanie Mettille; and Stacey May, in the tax credit program at the firm’s workforce management affiliate HK Payroll Services.

IRELAND

Mgpartners, Dublin, is becoming Andersen Tax, as a member firm of international association Andersen Global.

MASSACHUSETTS

James DeLeo was elected to serve as leading partner at Gray, Gray & Gray, Canton, where he has worked since 1990 and was elected partner in 2002. DeLeo succeeds Joseph Ciccarello, who has led the firm since 2008 and will continue to serve as partner of the firm while managing the energy and succession planning practices.

Jayme Moore was promoted to accounting and auditing director, Zachary Payne was promoted to senior tax accountant, and Peter Catal was promoted to in-charge accountant and auditor, at G.T. Reilly & Co., Milton.

For a third year, Rodman CPAs, Waltham, donated several boxes of food to the Newton Food Pantry prior to Thanksgiving, after holding a company-wide food drive among 33 staff members in November.

Whitley Penn, Dallas, admitted six into the partnership: Cline Crane, who joined in 2016 as a tax senior manager; Camron Harris, who joined the audit department in 2004; Robert Metz, who joined in 2011 as a senior associate in the forensic, litigation and valuation services group; Brett Murphy, who joined the firm in 2014 as an audit manager; Elizabeth Pettijohn, who joined in 2013 as a tax senior manager; and Justin Roberts, who joined in 2006.

Jeremy Smith was elected a shareholder at Doeren Mayhew, Houston, where he has worked since 2007.

UNITED KINGDOM

Helen Brand, chief executive of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, London, received an honorary degree from the University of Exeter in recognition for her contribution to the global accountancy profession and the connections she has helped establish between the university and the ACCA.

WASHINGTON, D.C.

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board announced that Samantha Ross is leaving the PCAOB. Ross, who has been with the PCAOB since 2003, was also its first chief of staff and has been special counsel to chairman James Doty since he joined the PCAOB in February 2011.
