CONNECTICUT

Elizabeth Ann Garti was hired as the vice president of human resources at the Financial Accounting Foundation, Norwalk. Garti, who has more than 25 years of global human resources experience, will head FAF’s efforts to attract and retain top talent to the organization, including the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, while providing support to the FAF trustees as they identify and appoint members to the FAF board and the standard-setting boards.

Crowe Horwath, Chiacgo, has developed a technology tool to assist companies with preparation and ongoing compliance for the new lease accounting standards that are soon to go into effect. The Crowe Lease Accounting Optimizer solution enables companies to efficiently manage their lease accounting processes while complying with the new standards. In other firm news, Crowe Horwath was named a 2018 leader in the ALM Vanguard of Strategic Risk Management Consulting Providers by ALM Intelligence – consulting division.

American International Group and Ernst & Young, New York, announced a new global tax compliance and technology operating agreement involving a combination of managed tax services and the transfer of select AIG employees to EY. Members of AIG’s global tax compliance and tax technology teams were integrated into EY’s tax technology and direct and indirect tax compliance practices at the U.S. federal, state, local and global levels. The five-year agreement was effective as of Feb. 5, 2018.
