KPMG, New York, hosted its 17th annual Ideation Challenge, a hackathon-style competition for business and STEM students to have hands-on experience with technology amid COVID-19. This year’s winners were the team from the Indian Institute of Technology, recognized for their solution that brings disruptive innovation to the mining industry, helping enable safer and more sustainable extraction using a custom algorithm. The team will receive $50,000 in seed funding to bring their idea to market with coaching and support from KPMG professionals.
