CALIFORNIA

Marilyn Millare, former partner at HMWC, Tustin, has died. She was remembered by family and friends, including members of the firm who have worked with her since she joined in 1977, becoming a partner in 1985. For many years, Millare headed the firm’s tax department, and she sat on the board of CRS, the firm’s pension administration company. She retired in 2013.

CONNECTICUT

Jill Kovalich was hired as a partner and chief marketing officer at Integrated Growth Advisors, Hartford.

GEORGIA

Samit Shah was hired as a principal in the transfer pricing services group at Dixon Hughes Goodman, Atlanta.

KENTUCKY

Michael Gilliam was hired as a manager of cybersecurity services, on the cybersecurity team, at Dean Dorton Allen Ford, Lexington.

INDIANA

Zach Sauder was hired as a director in the audit and assurance services group at Katz, Sapper & Miller, Fort Wayne.

MICHIGAN

Tim Hilligoss, shareholder at Clayton & McKervey, Southfield, was named Advisor of the Year by the Association for Corporate Growth – Detroit chapter. Hilligoss was honored at the fourth annual ACG M&A All Star awards April 9 at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.

NEW YORK

Stanley Barsky was hired as a principal in the tax group at EisnerAmper, New York.

PENNSYLVANIA

Crystal Skotedis, a principal at Boyer & Ritter CPAs, was appointed to the Bloomsburg University Zeigler College of Business Advisory Board, the college where she graduated with a bachelor of science in business administration degree in 2003.

TENNESSEE

Chandler Goodwin (pictured) and Austin Sams were hired as staff accountants in the dealership services group; Chris van der Merwe was hired as a staff accountant in the management advisory services group; and Jenna Thomasson was hired as an administrative assistant, at HHM CPAs, Chattanooga.

Julie Bell Lindsay was named executive director of the Center for Audit Quality, succeeding Cindy Fornelli, who is retiring after 12 years in the role and will continue at CAQ through May 2019 to ease the transition.
