CONNECTICUT

Jeffrey Previdi was named vice chairman of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, effective July 1, 2017, and succeeding Jan Sylvis, who served since Jan. 1, 2015 and marks 10 years of service on the board June 30.

Lynette Thom, senior accountant at Blue & Co., Indianapolis, was named president-elect for the Indiana Health Information Management Association.

Andrew Harris was hired as a specialist in assurance services and Dylan Tungate was named technology consultant at Dean Dorton, Louisville.

Edwin Brake, managing director of Ellin & Tucker, Baltimore, was named a 2017 honoree of the Dyslexia Tutoring Program, to be honored at DTP’s Wishes, Dreams and Imagination Gala October 19 in Baltimore for his work improving the Greater Baltimore community.

Jeffrey Biesadecki, tax supervisor, and Marc Scribi, experienced associate, at Rodman CPAs, Stow and Waltham, both received their master’s degrees; an MST from Bentley University and an MBA from Suffolk University, respectively.

Julie Greenwood, manager at Nathan Wechsler & Co., Concord, had her term on the board of the Pope Memorial Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Concord-Merrimack County extended by another three years, and has been re-elected as treasurer.

Tifphani White-King was appointed partner in the international tax practice of Mazars USA, New York. White-King, who has 20 years of experience leading teams and providing expert tax and consulting services to international companies in the insurance industry, financial, private equity and investment funds, and media and technology, was recently a principal at a Big Four accounting firm.

Mark Dolinger, a member of the firm’s accounting and audit group, was appointed principal at Gettry Marcus, Woodbury.

Claudia Allen, an experienced corporate governance attorney, joined the team of corporate governance specialists at the KPMG Board Leadership Center, New York.

Yasmine Misuraca was promoted to partner in the advisory services group of Marks Paneth, New York, bringing more than 20 years of public and private accounting experience.

Michael Iannuzzi, audit partner, was appointed co-leader of the franchise practice at Citrin Cooperman, New York.

Marilyn Pendergast, partner at UHY and managing director at UHY Advisors, New York, will be presented with the 2017 Key4Women Achieve Award at the annual Key4Women Forum May 19.
