LVWB names valuation services leader; Lumsden & McCormick promotes two professionals to manager; and other recent hires, promotions and personnel news from firms across the country.

FLORIDA

The Institute of Internal Auditors inducted four new audit leaders into the 2017 class of the American Hall of Distinguished Audit Practitioners. The inductees are: Larry Rittenberg, a former EY professor of accounting at the University of Wisconsin and a current chair of the audit committee at Woodward, Inc.; Paul Sobel, who has served on the IIA board of directors for 16 years, was president of the IIA’s Internal Audit Foundation and has worked as a chief audit executive for four companies; Jacqueline Wagner, who has served as the CAE for several large organizations and was IIA global chairman from 2000-01; and David Walker, former Comptroller General of the United States and CEO of the U.S. Government Accountability Office. The inductees were honored at the IIA’s General Audit Management Conference in Orlando March 20.

Three professionals at Rodman CPAs, Waltham, earned their Certified Value Growth Advisor business advisory credential: Steve Rodman, president; Robert Leonard, audit director; and Jeremy Eckmair, associate.

Jeremy Smith was hired as practice leader of the accounting services department and Tim Anderson was hired as supervisor in the state and local tax department at MarksNelson, Kansas City.
